TSRA OFFERS CANOE AND KAYAK CLASS ON THE HIWASSEE RIVER June 5-7, 2009

We extend a warm welcome to Western Carolina paddlers to join us for a weekend of fun, food and fellowship on the water!

The Tennessee Scenic Rivers Association (TSRA), a non-profit 501(c)(3), is known as the premier voice for water conservation in Tennessee. To help others appreciate the beauty and importance of our waterways, we also teach paddling classes to bring people to the rivers and to instill for each person a healthy respect for safety on the water. We are proud to announce that TSRA's Annual Canoe and Kayak Class is being offered on June 5-7, 2009 at Gee Creek Campground on the Hiwassee River near Etowah, TN.

Canoe and Kayak School is the perfect class for beginners to learn to paddle. It's also a great chance for more experienced paddlers to improve their skills. Whether you paddle a whitewater canoe or kayak, a recreational sit-on-top boat, or sea kayak -- and no matter your skill level--this class will help you to become a better paddler.

To register , visit TSRA's website at www.paddletsra.org and go to the Schools page. There you will find more information regarding the class as well as online registration and mail-in registration forms. Your registration fee of $90 includes all instruction and camping in the Gee Creek Overflow area. Included in the fee will be a TSRA T-shirt, a delicious Saturday evening meal, and entertainment. You must provide your own boating and camping equipment and transportation to and from Gee Creek.

Questions? Contact lead instructor Beth Boord at 615-794-9173 in the evenings before 9:00 p.m. CDT; or email Beth at beth.boord@vanderbilt.edu. You can also contact Shirley Amitrano at ops@paddletsra.org with questions regarding registrations. Deadline for registration is June 3rd. You can visit TSRA online at www.paddletsra.org.

Site look funky?  Your browser is so old standards-based layouts and styling confuse it.  Consider updating.  Good options include:  Mozilla (Linux, Mac, Windows),  Mozilla Firefox (Linux, Mac, Windows),  Netscape v7 or higher (Linux, Mac, Windows),  Opera v7 or higher (Linux, Mac, Windows),  Galeon (Linux),  Konqueror (Linux),  Apple Safari (Mac),  Mozilla Camino (Mac),  Microsoft Internet Explorer v5 or higher (Mac),  Microsoft Internet Explorer v6 or higher (Windows).  All are free.  Because of security concerns I personally avoid Internet Explorer.  It may or may not be more buggy than its competitors, but its prominence and Microsoft's notoriety make it the most frequent target of malicious crackers.
